[Venue] Warren Station in Keystone Resort’s River Run Village in Keystone, Colorado

Just to the right in the image below is the Quaking Aspen Amphitheatre, located in the heart of the River Run Village at the Keystone Ski Resort.  Big parking lots (that are free) are just a short walk away from the Warren Station, an attractive option for a modern facility that’s in the base village.

On the outside, there’s an outside deck that guests can relax on, or you can choose to take photos next to the stream running next to the building.  There are some kid-friendly attractions in the base area that can keep the little ones occupied.  Or, you can even mix a mountain top ceremony on the Mozart deck, and then return to Warren Station for the reception.

Warren Station does not offer lodging, but there are several companies that offer private home rentals, some of which are off-the-beaten paths in quiet neighborhoods.  Or ask us how we can put you down in the center of the action!  Yep, a condo facing the River Run Village when a festival is happening sounds like some fun mountain wedding research.  Ask us how we can set you up with a condo to stay overnight, play in the morning and then continue with the wedding planning in the afternoon.

[Venue + Activities] the Day Lodge and the Frisco Adventure Park in Summit County, Colorado

You won’t find this new venue on any other blog, because it’s so new, that most folks don’t even know about it.  Well, not anymore.  We’re sharing the news about other possible venues and activity options around the Breckenridge, Copper Mountain, Dillon, Frisco, Keystone and Silverthorne area.

No longer the town you drive through to get to Breck, the Town of Frisco has made major investments to their offerings including massive upgrades to the marina (read about our pontoon parade here), including a restaurant.  There’s even a downhill bike park and  a multi-use facility simply called the Day Lodge.

During the winter the adventure park becomes basecamp for the nordic center and tubing hill.  The video in this blog is with the blessing of mountain man, Mike Hagadorn.  Thanks for sharing this awesome video of the bike park!

This is where you come in.  If you’re  a downhill bike fiend and / or a skateboarder, well then, you’re in luck.  There’s both a skate park and a Frisco’s latest addition, the bike park.

The Day Lodge is a beautiful facility; however we strongly encourage you to visit the site prior to making a private use reservation as the facility was not designed for custom use and may or may not meet your individual needs.

On the south end of town is Engine 9, the railroad engine equipped with an attachment on the front to churn up the snow-choked passes in the winter.  The Stephen C. West Ice Arena is located next to the Snowplow Rotary Park.

Many local restaurants are great options for rehearsal dinner locations, including the Hearthstone Restaurant.  There is a great view from the table near the bar upstairs, and if you want to reserve it for a group, then give them a ring and you’ll get the table in the big windows in the top right of the image above.

[How To] Have A Destination Ranch Wedding in the Colorado Rocky Mountains

We’ve sourced two ranches near Breckenridge that will create an epic mountain wedding experience that guests will remember for a long time. One is north of Breck, and one is south.  Today’s featured video introduces you to the American Safari Ranch near Fairplay, Colorado

The American Safari Ranch is located about half an hour away from the vacation and mountain wedding mecca that Breckenridge, Colorado has become.   Stan and Derek came by the barn to talk about all the possibilities for western-themed weddings on their ranch.

Horseback riding, ATV’s, and a saloon is on property, as well as plenty of sleeping areas for guests.  Keep it rustic, or dress it up.  It’s up to you, of course.   Overflow guests can stay at the Riverside Inn in Fairplay.

We’ll be visiting the ranch for a photo session next week, so check back for that episode!

{ Real Mountain Wedding } Ashley + Jim at Ten Mile Station in Breckenridge, Colorado

After guests check in and find their way around Breckenridge, they drive themselves, or arrange for a shuttle, they arrive at a wedding venue near  chairlifts that service one of North America’s most popular ski resorts.  This Colorado alpine destination is the scene for Ashley and Jim’s wedding at Ten Mile Station.

This local couple decided to bring their family and friends to a wedding venue unlike any other.  In fact, the only thing around are a few chairlifts.  During the winter, Vail Resorts using the facility as an on-mountain dining facility with one of the best outside decks (until the T-Bar at One Ski Hill Place came along) at the Breckenridge Ski Resort.

Thousands of wildflowers fill the ski slopes during the summertime, and a magnificent view of Mt. Baldy and the Continental Divide is the backdrop.   Today’s featured video was created with tender loving care by Erin from Elegant Productions.  Please mention this blog when you check with Erin about shooting a video for your special day.
