In the foreground you see wildflowers in front Ten Mile Station, Breckenridge wedding venue on Peak 9 at the ski area. There are literally thousands of them in front of the building, and in a huge patch out in the circular driveway. Not every venue is lucky enough to have these kinds of wildflowers, in that sheer number, out the front door. There are also large hanging baskets that are hung.

One of my favorite things to do in the whole world is to watch the sun set and take photographs of the sunset over Peak 8 at the Breckenridge Ski Resort. These images are from throughout the summer and I wanted to share this set of photos to show you how different the same mountain can be from day to day. In fact, one of my most recent sunset images over Peak 8 was shared on GoBreck’s Instagram feed! GoBreck.com is the local resort chamber in Breck.

Not everyone allowed snowboarding when it first started showing up on the slopes back in the day. Visionaries at the ski area recognized an opportunity to provide a skiing and snow riding experience that was non-discriminatory and accepting of new forms of sliding. Snowboarding never went away and is a huge part of the mountain culture that surrounds and permeates Breck. This video’s pretty fun, I’ll think you’ll like it. If you’re a groom that is getting married this winter and do this crazy stuff, please let us know and we’ll have some fun with cameras. We’d love to have a video or two of snowboarders getting married!
